• In November, we partnered with the brilliant team at Wing London to deliver a high-impact film for Mubadala, for the new Brazil SailGP Team ahead of the Abu Dhabi event. Shot entirely in Abu Dhabi, the film featured Olympic champions and Emirati trailblazers, and it was turned around in just one week, from production to post.

Every part of this campaign moved fast: fast prep, fast shoot, fast post-production, fast transport and fast-moving athletes. And yet, the result was something bold, beautiful, and purposeful.

Breaking Waves and Boundaries

At the center of the film was Martine Grael, two-time Olympic gold medalist, who made history as the first female driver in SailGP.  As skipper of the Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team, she is leading a new era not just for the sport, but for representation.

Supporting her were three incredible Emirati women who are also rewriting the playbook:

• Amna Al Qubaisi – the first Emirati female F3 driver, now racing in the Ligier European Series for Team Virage.
• Hamda Al Qubaisi – Amna’s younger sister, a standout in the F1 Academy, currently racing alongside her sister.
• Alia Abdulsalam – the first UAE female powerboat driver, proving courage and control go hand in hand. She is currently competing in male dominated events internationally. 

Together, these women brought power, purpose, and pride to the screen, becoming living proof of what it means to break barriers in a male-dominated field.

Production in Hyperdrive

With only one week to shoot and deliver the entire film, True Films led local production facilitation, including drones, crew coordination, equipment, locations, and on-set support across Abu Dhabi.

The pace was relentless but so was the focus. We knew what was at stake: not just a deliverable, but a statement.

This wasn’t just a campaign. It was a call to elevate women across motorsport and sailing, to tell their stories with cinematic care, and to remind audiences what progress looks like in motion.
